MIL did it again. My oldests birthday was a few months ago. MIL did not acknowledge it at all. Yes, oldest is an adult, but I’m sure they would have expected at least a text.

DH’s birthday is next month. Sure enough, today there were 2 cards in the mail. In a padded envelope with Do Not Bend on it. I’ve also recently learned she doesn’t reach out to my kids at all. She told them they should be reaching out to her out of respect. My kids never have to do that with my side. Not even with my close friends. They hear from my side often, and appreciate them.

I don’t bother with her, and am NC, but in my opinion she should reach out to my kids.
