I already know people are going to come at me in the comments saying “I have a dog and MY house doesn’t smell” and you’re probably right—in my experience, maybe 2/5 people with dogs actively take stops to remove the smell of their dog’s kennel from their entire home.

I think the remaining 3/5 are people have scent blindness to it because a house with a “dog smell” hits your nostrils immediately and is incredibly uncomfortable. It’s worse than cigarette smoke and neck and neck with the odor of stale piss.

I love dogs and have nothing against owning one, but if your house smells like shit as a result of your pet then I question your skills as a responsible pet owner. Are you always taking them out to pee and poo? How many surfaces of your home are covered in their fur, farts and saliva? How are you comfortable inhaling air that feels so heavy?
