Contemplating doing this researcher role, but don't have any publications. I'm thinking if I join will I get sucked into publishing or pressured into publishing if I take the role ?

Idk if it makes a difference but this is in food, idk if the industry makes a difference in the publication field ?

Edit : the role is called postdoctoral scholar, so I'll be employeed by the uni. It's not like working towards a postdoc
