I’m rereading The Villainess Turns the Hourglass and I realized something. Every single “I’m not like other nobles” duke has the exact same internal script:

“Tsk. This woman is different. She does not fear me. How... interesting.”

Like sir. You just saw her spill tea on your priceless rug and call you “barely tolerable.” That’s not love, that’s low self esteem and poor boundaries. But here I am, eating it up for again.

Anyway no hate to our emotionally constipated kings. Just wondering, who’s the most ridiculous cold duke you’ve read recently? Not badly written, just absurdly dramatic.
