Hello friends! I make earrings and I LOVE making earrings based on characters. I would also love to sell those earrings, to other fans, of said characters. But I don't know how close of references is too close of references and if it would be copyright infringement or IP infringement or whatever.
Example (in picture): Earrings based on Midari from the anime Kakegurui - I painted her eye, her bow, a gun, and made little cards that are simplified versions from the ones in the show.
Would this be copyright infringement?
Does avoiding the name of the character or show play into it at all?
If I just had one element, would it change?

Hi!! I make earrings. Sometimes based on characters and such (I've been doing ones for people's OC's) sometimes just whatever I feel like lol.
I am having a hard time coming up with some sort of pricing system. I usually just go on gut I don't know. Materials and time are hard to measure because I buy so many random materials always (I have a very big collection of supplies) and I can't accurately measure how much time I spend because I do other stuff while, make mistakes I have to fix, etc.
I use resin, beads, clay, hand paint things, basically make mini sculptures tbh
I don't even know, just halp me 🥲
I've made Jax, Zooble, Pomni, and Ragatha so far, and I'm currently working on some Caine and Gangle ones 😎
