I've listened to so many series and help off from the wandering inn because I read someone complaining about all the chess talk... I regret this.

Finishing the first book as I write this and of all the series I've listened to this has got to be the best first book with the best ending. If it gets better than this I can't wait.

Pirateaba does an amazing job of describing the emotional stakes of all the characters they've created and Andrea Parsneau does a peerless job of conveying those emotions through her voice.

Slow claps all around.
