A character being gone leads to in the worst timeline
Trope where everything goes badly once a person is gone from the group. In my opinion, this implies that said character's existence is so important to the group dynamic or they are secretly the glue who binds everyone together.
TMNT (2003) - S03E21 (Same As It Never Was): Donnie is placed in an alternate future where Shredder won after he went missing for 30 years.
Community - S03E04 (Remedial Chaos Theory): the episode shows alternate timelines where things happen differently depending on which person gets pizza. The timeline where Troy gets pizza is the worst scenario.
Justice League: S02E12 (A Better World): the Justice League becomes dictators in an alternate timeline where the Flash dies.
