De-Escalating is a hetero/mono normative idea.
I often see people post in this sub about how to deescalate a relationship from romantic to platonic. That feels like it's against what relationship anarchy is all about. There is no hierarchy.
When the nature of a relationship that I have needs to change, myself and my partner pull out the relationship anarchy smorgasbord and change the nature of our relationship to fit what we both want.
Assuming this is deescalating is so mononormative, that it absolutely drives me crazy.
There is no hierarchy in any of my relationships, regardless of their nature.
