Purchased Car Needing Repairs... What's Reasonable?

I recently purchased a 2021 Ford expedition with low miles and is in great shape. I'm within my 10-day return window and within the miles.

I took the truck to the dealer to have them do a detailed inspection to make sure there was nothing wrong with the car. They found that the VVT solenoids were leaking, which is a repair that requires the valve cover gasket to be removed.

I called the CarMax I purchased it from, and the only thing they could offer was that I make an appointment at their service center because I'm within the 30-day warranty, which I did and the appointment is 2 weeks away.

Here's my question: I live about 45 minutes away from the store, so taking it down there for the service appointment in 2 weeks is a hassle, and I can only assume they're going to be keeping the truck for at least a little while. I also am somewhat concerned about CarMax doing the repair and not the dealer. Would it be reasonable to threaten to return the car, in order to have them just reimburse me for having the repair done at the Ford dealer which is literally 10 minutes from my house?

It's a little disappointing this was found at all, from the top of the engine bay you can see the oil seeping.

Thanks all Love the sub, great community.
