Monash Malaysia Waterfront Residence Questions (Feb 2027 Intake)
Hi everyone, I’m planning to join Monash University Malaysia for the February 2027 intake, and I’ve recently started looking into accommodation options, especially Sunway Waterfront Residence.
After checking out the room types online and reading a few student opinions, I’m leaning towards the Single Room BIG option. I also came across quite a few people saying Block D is one of the better blocks, so now I’m curious about how the whole booking and allocation process works.
I had a few questions for current/former students staying there:
When’s the best time to book a room for the Feb intake? Is it safe to book it now? Would I be able to get a room?
Are we allowed to choose or request a preferred block?
For those who stayed there (or know about), is the “Single Room BIG View” worth the extra cost over the normal Single Room BIG?
Any other tips/things you wish you knew before booking?
Would really appreciate any advice or personal experiences, especially from people who stayed in Block C/D. Thanks!
