Haller index around 5 + exercise intolerance/tachycardia — could this be affecting cardiac function?

Haller index around 5 + exercise intolerance/tachycardia — could this be affecting cardiac function?

I recently looked back at a chest CT I had done a while ago and noticed that the chest is very shallow front-to-back. I measured the Haller index at roughly 4.9–5.1 on a couple of axial slices.

I've also had an issue for quite a long time where my heart rate seems disproportionately high during relatively low-effort exercise. I've recently started endurance training, and I notice that even a small increase in pace can cause a significant increase in heart rate.

I previously had blood tests, an echocardiogram and a 24-hour Holter, which didn't show anything particular.

what do you guys think?

Urticaria resolved after 9 years

I just wanted to make this post to give people some hope.

I started having severe chronic urticaria out of nowhere about 9 years ago. I have no idea where it came from or what caused it. Mine was intense, didn't fluctuate, and didn't seem to correlate with anything—just constant urticaria and dermatographia.

It did respond to antihistamines, so I had to stay on them continuously. I went through the typical chronic urticaria patient journey: multiple doctors, multiple tests, and no real answers.

About 7 years ago, I went on Xolair for around 8 months and responded reasonably well to it. However, the urticaria returned after I stopped treatment.

Then, about a year ago, it simply went away on its own. I don't take any medication anymore. I still have some dermatographia, but it's much milder than it used to be.

I know how hopeless chronic urticaria can feel when you've been dealing with it for years, so I wanted to share my experience in case it gives someone a bit of hope.
