To every Cambridge student, parent, and teacher affected by the June 2026 examination crisis:
Students are tired.
Parents are frustrated.
And confidence in the Cambridge examination system is collapsing.
For months, students sacrificed sleep, mental peace, social lives, and family time preparing for these exams. Parents spent huge amounts of money on tuition, academies, transport, resources, and exam fees because they trusted Cambridge to conduct fair and secure examinations.
Now that trust has been shattered.
The leak of the AS Level Mathematics paper is not the only concern students are raising. Across different countries and student communities, there have also been widespread discussions and allegations regarding leaked or circulated content relating to AS Level Business, Economics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics papers.
Yet students feel that Cambridge is only acknowledging part of the problem while ignoring the wider concerns being raised by candidates everywhere.
Instead of protecting innocent students from the consequences of these failures, Cambridge has chosen to place the burden back onto students by forcing another examination on 9 June.
Why should honest students suffer because Cambridge failed to secure its own papers?
Students already completed exhausting exam schedules under extreme pressure. Many are mentally and physically drained. Families arranged their lives around the official timetable. Some students have upcoming papers, university applications, travel plans, and personal responsibilities.
And despite all this, students are now being told to simply prepare again — with no guarantee that another leak will not happen.
Who will compensate students for:
• the emotional stress?
• the wasted preparation?
• the additional tuition costs?
• the destroyed confidence?
• the mental exhaustion caused by this uncertainty?
Cambridge speaks about integrity, fairness, and accountability — but fairness also means protecting innocent students from institutional failures.
This situation is no longer about one subject.
It is about a broken system.
It is about accountability.
It is about student wellbeing.
It is about fairness for every honest candidate.
We call on Cambridge to:
• Provide a fair alternative assessment method
• Fully investigate ALL reported leaks across subjects
• Be transparent with students and parents
• Stop placing the consequences of security failures onto innocent candidates
• Respect the emotional and financial sacrifices made by families worldwide
We encourage students, parents, and teachers to stand together peacefully and respectfully to demand accountability, transparency, and fair treatment for all candidates.
Students should not suffer for failures they did not create.
