How do you make BIPOC friends as an adult

I saw a flood of BIPOC teenagers leaving school the other day and they were all smiling and laughing together. I honestly felt envious of them. When I moved to a big (diverse) city as a teenager, my parents just happened to send me to the whitest school that was outside of our diverse neighborhood. I remember crying when they said I was going to that school instead of the one near our house that was mostly Brown/Black/Asian. They already traumatized me by raising me in a predominantly white small town as a kid and telling me to just “ignore” the racism. I struggled to make friends in university and now I’m an adult who has never experienced friendship without judgment, micro aggressions, or having to change who I am.
