We played the cavs better, and would’ve gone to the ECF if we beat them

That is a good pistons team but they were left pretty motionless *without* great defence against Cade. They still ran up turnovers, ran up fouls, and they shot the ball poorly. The cavs played by far their best defensive game of the series tonight, and the pistons had no answer.

I know we didn’t beat the cavs, it’s easy to stand back and say that we could’ve beat the pistons after they get smacked like that. It’s also true that if the pistons were struggling that much to pull their scoring together we would’ve been in great position to knock them off. Cade is awesome, but he’s all they had in this run.

Thoughts on getting off the internet (23)

I’m gen Z, and this is something I’ve been thinking about for a long time now, couple years. It just feels like the days going to come sooner or later where I, or we start turning the lights off on this social media thing.

For older generations the internet is a very different place, at least in terms of scope. They didn’t really grow up with cell phones, or computers depending on how old they are. I think that’s an important thing to consider with how people treat this stuff. I know in my experience, they’re using it mostly as a tool, or an accessory. It makes life easier, you can keep contact easier, more stuff can be found just generally. You can stay informed.

I dunno, I grew up with this stuff. It’s way less of an accessory than it is an active part of my daily life. I know in high school I was super dialed in on my socials, because was necessary to get through it at the time. I’m 23 now, and after growing up with it, I think that I’m going to grow out of it too. This whole world just feels not-real, and childish to spend so much time investing in.

I think I’ll be equipped to help my kids navigate the online world after having been a part of it, and finding my own balance in life. This damn phone feels more like my lifeline more than just a convenience most of the time anyways. Social media might be a teenagers game and we just don’t know it yet.

Just my thoughts, thanks!

My rating is only 300, no experience with chess really, except some Gotham recaps. I literally started yesterday

I’m always blundering my queen but the computer liked it. I can’t analyze it yet. Thanks!

This is my take,

Right now the raptors have all the momentum and it’s critical that they capitalize on in game 5 specifically. They have to win this series in 6. Off the backs of stifling Mitchell & Harden in games 3 & 4, there’s continuity with what’s happening for them defensively, there’s a punchers chance. Their main issue is that they cannot let the series go 7. They don’t have the firepower to keep up with the cavs if they get loose, and playoff experience veers heavy towards Cleveland. IMO they get stomped in a game 7.

The cavs should be betting favourites and if all goes well, they could most reasonably close the series at 7. The cavs have struggled to play good teams on the road but have been great on home court. Cavs getting it done on the road where it’s clearly the raptors advantage is not something I expect. They also just have more talent offensively and if one or two players get hot, it could be wraps.

TLDR - if Cleveland wins game 5 it’s over. If raptors win game 5 they need to win game 6 or it’s over.
