Post nasal drip - advice please?

Hello redditors, I searched for post nasal drip and someone had posted something here quite sometime ago.

So for the last year I have had a cough and not really known what was causing it only a few months ago the doctors examined me properly and said I had a post nasal drip, I have now been on steroids for 3 months and feel like it’s doing nothing but every time I’ve asked for another appointment I get a text back telling me I need to have it for longer. But surely a steroid should have helped by now? Is there a permanent way to get rid of this?

Im desperate to get rid of it as it’s affecting my sleep, my energy levels, the way people perceive me it’s really stopping me from going out and enjoying myself.

I do a lot of contact sports and always throwing up mid sessions and most of the time is just mucus. I wake up every morning and have to get the mucus off my chest.

Any advice, tips or other stories and how you managed it would be helpful, thank you
