Eye stye ? Chalazion?Blepharitis?
I’ve had a spot on my lower eyelid for over a month now. It started as two small white spots close together, similar to acne. There was no pain, just mild itching for about two days. I initially used acne cream, which seemed to help—the white spots disappeared the next day, leaving only some redness.
After a few days, I used chloramphenicol (CHLOROPH) for about a week. Then I switched to erythromycin ophthalmic ointment (5 mg) along with warm compresses for another week.
When it still didn’t improve, I saw an ophthalmologist. He said it was likely a viral infection and prescribed Tobradex (3.5 g). The instructions were twice daily for the first week, once daily for the second week, and then every other day for the third week. He also asked me to send photos after 7 days for follow-up.
It’s now day 10 since starting Tobradex, and I haven’t heard back from him. The redness hasn’t improved or reduced in size. I was also told to stop doing warm compresses. At this point, I’m unsure what to do next.
