Hey everyone,

My husband and I called USCIS today to check on our case status, and the agent told us that our case is currently at the Vermont Service Center and is “ready to be reviewed.”

For context, we have pending I-130 and I-485 applications, and I also have an EOIR asylum case in the background.

We didn’t get much more detail beyond that, so now we’re trying to understand what this actually means in real terms. Does “ready to be reviewed” mean an officer has already been assigned? Or is it just sitting in a queue waiting for someone to pick it up?

If anyone has been in a similar situation, how long did it take for you to see movement after hearing this?

Would really appreciate any insights or experiences you can share, thank you!
