Hello im a 22 F moving to Vancouver soon, just wanted to know about the area and which are the safest and affordable (ironic i know). Any general tips are welcome also, I am originally from California:)

Hello I am a 20 M been living west coast my entire life and would like to stay in the area but its just not affordable. Just looking for any recommendations for a person like me. I dont really got out often, i work minimum wage jobs, public transportation would have to be reliable, i really dont like the heat, and somewhere not too violent. I would always be excited to try new things so if they are some places in the east coast or central let me know! All help is appreciated thanks!
