Was thrown into a BA flight by Air Canada after they cancelled my flight. My check in bags were left in Toronto and I only discovered that on arrival. I went to London for a very formal party, which was two days after I had arrived.

I didn’t have shit so I had to buy basic essentials, and on top of that, I had to buy an outfit for the evening event. I spent a week in London without my suitcase only to return home, and get it two days later (today). I spent around £2000 to recoup my loss (make up, evening gown, jewelry, shoes, bare essentials, birthday gift)

How much can I claim from BA in this situation?
