PDF imported into Inkscape -> re-export into PDF very pixelated

I have a somewhat absurd workflow which can't easily be altered due to very custom and complex software. This software can only output PDFs, but in high rest (600 dpi).

When I import these PDFs into Inkscape, resolution looks great. I add some more text, other (svg) images etc. However, when I export this as a pdf, the parts which already came from the orignal pdf look very very pixelated. The remaining images which were imported from svg files and any other shapes etc. which I added look completely fine.

Can someone help me understand what's going on? Why does the high-res PDF component look good in inkscape but export so badly?

Any help would be really appreciated!

Bombed my first HM in 10 years and I am really frustrated

I used to be an avid runner ~ 10 years ago in my twenties. Ran several marathons in the 3.45-4h category but eventually ended up with knee injuries and had to quit running every time I restarted.

Last year I started working out more in general, doing long hikes (30-45k) and in December started running again. I quickly got addicted to it again, bought myself a Garmin and have been following Coach Jeff's 10k plan since March. The long runs have been really challenging for me - every two weeks they went up by 2 km. 15k I managed pretty okay, 17k I struggled, 19k I had to walk for a kilometer. Last week I had a 21k planned and was so stoked about my first HM in 10 years! Also my VO2 max was riiight at the border between excellent and superior and had increased with every run, so I hoped I might finally tip into the magical realm of "superior".

I thought the joy and excitement was going to carry me through and I could run without breaks, but in reality I had to do my first 2 minute walking break already after 7k. I ended up walking something like 3 or 3.5k because I felt completely exhausted. I

I feel so dumb - I started the run too late in the morning so it was already too warm for my comfort, I "only" had 400ml of isotonic drink with me which was too little with these temperatures. And I ran further than ever on my usual path which ended up having very steep sections so I ended up with 500 meter ascent and descent... All of it so suboptimal.

Still I feel really down about not managing it - I really wanted to feel proud and happy but I just feel frustrated and sad. I don't really have a reason to post this I guess, except wanting wallow in self pity 😅

Unusual or cool running shirts with prints

Hi y'all,

Maybe you have some suggestions - I enjoy a shirt with a cool graphic print on it, particularly large prints on the back, thank typical millennial graphic tee. I'd love to have some tops with graphic print for running, but Google isn't very helpful and mostly turns up cotton T-shirts with running-themed prints.

Does anyone know of a brand which sells something like that? Any kind of funky designs on fabrics made for working out would be great, as long as that doesn't just translate to wild neon swirls 😅 I know of Janji, but the one T-shirt I like is out of stock... I'd love any recommendations! I am willing to have it shipped from Asia or the US if necessary but prefer European brands.

Sans Serif font with bold/italics and full subscript/superscript functionality

Hi,

very basic question but maybe someone has a quick recommendation. I need a very basic "boring" font (something like Arial) tha supports different stylings with bold and italics and has the capability to support subscript and superscript (for symbols, numbers and text). Am I making a mistake, or do truly >90% of fonts in inkscape not support subscript for text, including fonts like Arial and Calibri?

Could someone recommend something? I am going crazy trying to find a font which supports subscript for text at all... I understand that I can manually create a subscript but I will have a lot of subscript text which would be much easier to generate using a quick toggle...
