OK, is it just me or am I seeing more post on here about folks leaving charter than normal?
Seriously dude…is it just me or what the hell is actually going on with Spectrum lately?
And before anyone says it, no, this is NOT me defending Spectrum. I’ve seen the same garbage installs, customer complaints, billing frustrations, outage posts, and “I’m finally cancelling” threads everyone else has.
But seriously dude, what is happening?
Every time I scroll here it feels like
- terrible workmanship photos
- people fed up and switching to AT&T / Verizon / i3 / whoever
- employees sounding burnt out
- customers talking like the company is actively falling apart
- constant complaints about metrics, rushed installs, repeat calls, bad leadership decisions
Like… is Reddit just being Reddit, or is there actually something going on internally?
Because from the outside, Spectrum feels weird right now.
Not even defending bad tech work, because bad work is bad work.
But if technicians are being pushed so hard on productivity numbers that quality gets sacrificed, that’s a company problem too.
Then you’ve got competition getting stronger, customers having more options, and people acting like Spectrum’s making desperate moves just to hold onto market share.
Spectrum is huge. In a lot of markets they practically ARE the option.
So how does a company that big feel this messy?
Genuine question for both employees and customers:
Is Spectrum actually in some kind of decline, or does this sub just make it look worse than it is?
