I (22M) am looking for a fun enough reliable car to take me from home to college.
My budget is around 10-12k. I have a salvage title 2010 Lexus is250 right now that has been giving me some trouble and I’ve saved up enough to feel comfortable buying something newer that won’t break my wallet. Right now, I’m between a 2019 Hyundai Veloster with 80k miles and a 2016 Scion Tc with 100k miles. I’m looking for; 1.) Reliability 2.) Fun to Drive 3.) Some practicality. I know the Hyundai is likely more fun to drive but what is the difference in reliability between the Hyundai and the scion? Both are practical enough for my uses but I am afraid that the Hyundai may have worse reliability overall. Just wanted to get the perspective of others. I’m in the northwest btw if that matters.
