Hair colour dilemma

So i havent had my natural hair colour in easily 7 or 8 years because I think its just a bit boring. For 5 of those years I had jet black hair that i loved but also got a bit bored with. After a long process I managed to dye my hair red ( its current colour) but as much as I love the colour I find it fades very quickly and the maintance is a bit much

I've been considering going back to black, but im hesitant since i do still love how the red looks and how long it took me to get to having no visible black in my hair. But maintaining the black was so much easier

So here I am asking strangers for advice on what to do. I have a more layered cut atm which im also worried would be hidden by the black

Also any fresh haircut or styling ideas welcome

I've been trying to diet yo loose weight for nearly 3 years and Im about ready to give up

My weight seems to fluctuate dramatically no matter how strict I am with my diet. At the moment I am eating roughly 1300 calories a day, with admittedly little exercise except for an hour walk to and from work each day, and moving around all day once im there (retail job). About a year ago I was so close to my ideal weight, about 1kg away but cant reach it no matter what

I could go over my calorie budget one day and im overnight after putting on like 2kg. It feels like im doing the right things and getting the wrong results

I eat mostly healthy home cooked meals with a balance of veggies and protein, I track every single calorie that I eat throughout the day and somehow the weight keeps going up. Now mind you its not huge amounts each time but its steadily increasing and I just feel really bad since I was doing amazingly over for a long time following the same routine. ( 13kg down in a year and a half without the gym or really any advice, just figuring it out on my own)

If anyone has had a similar experience and managed to get back on track PLEASE share no matter how unhinged or weird sounding, as this is really affecting my confidence
