Shimano 105 ST-R7000 Left Shifter - Please explain the low trim position
Looking for clarification as the more I read the manual the more confused I get. On the big chain ring I understand the trim. When I press the brake lever all the way to shift into the big chain ring I get that is the outer most position. I can "trim down" with a "half click" if I am cross chaining to the large cassette cog. This slightly adjusts the FD to the left slightly.
Where I am confused is the small chain ring. If I press the paddle all the way it will downshift to the small ring. Am I correct to understand trimming the small chainring I "half click" the brake lever shifting it slightly to the right? Sorry if I am using the wrong terms here.
When adjusting the FD low side what position should I have the lever in? The manual says small chainring to large cog, I am confused about where the lever should be? TIA.
