Should I expect a Paper Check?

So this is the first year I’ve ran into so much delay in regard to my tax refund. I filed early on 02/25 and ever since then it’s been a headache lol I had to verify, which was a first. But even then I had to call several times to even get on the verification line. And when I got on I had to wait an hour just to speak to someone. It’s crazy but hey… it is what it is.

I also had an issue come up with tax year 2024, which I admit was due to my own mistakes, so that held up the process even longer. But once I got that amended and submitted, they subtracted the balance from this year’s tax refund as expected.

So my question is since all of this has happened, should I be expecting a paper check now? I know it may seem like a silly question because they have my direct deposit info on file but I’ve been told that when you have situations like this you’re gonna get a check in the mail instead of direct deposit. And on my notice they said I should be receiving my refund in 2-3 weeks so I’m pretty anxious at the prospect of FINALLY being done with this whole process
