I applied to be a shift for the first time recently (318 partner) and didn’t get it for reasons not relating to my readiness. I was just told that after you apply to be a shift and don’t get it, you have to wait 6 months before you can apply to be a shift again. Apparently it’s supposed to be utilized as time for development towards the position.
I don’t require any development, I was specifically told they had no feedback and I was qualified to be hired as a shift (even though I didn’t ultimately get it). I’ve *been* ready for advancement, I really don’t want to wait an entire 6 months before I can try again. Is this true? I’d never heard of this.
