Any advice for a first timer? What do I need to do before this thing gets really mature?
This plant has been growing like crazy lately and I want to make sure I’m doing things right before it gets too big, or too lanky, or too anything. I’ll take any advice you have!
I’ve had it a little less than a year, got her from a grocery store for $15 when it just had the bottom few leaves. It didn’t tolerate the transition well and dropped a couple of leaves before I found a good spot for it and got some new growth. Then a few months wintering under a grow light - those leaves were weak, you can see one that was damaged but still on the plant. Since going back outside in May, it has put out lovely, large leaves! It gets 8+ hours of indirect sunlight on the patio, plus lots of heat/wind/elements. But in the fall it will have to come back inside under the grow light. I don’t have a stake in it and it stands up very nice and tall, but I’m worried that if it keeps adding height it may become unstable.
