Where to chop this poor guy???

I've been making some posts the last month or so about my flf. Long story short, an extremely rootbound repot with too aggressive root trimming has led to this point. Plant was healthy before this all.

Where specifically would you guys chop these 2 trunks in order to lead to the best looking grow back? Note that I've already taken a foot or so off of each. Praying it rises from the ashes!

Let This Be Your Sign

If you've been scared to completely chop, now is the time of year to do it. At least in the northern hemisphere.

I chopped about a month ago! 🙂

Gimme a "T"!

I've had her for about 6 years.

In that time, she has grown very well and healthy! But last year she decided to become a cheerleader, and now I want to know what I can do to get rid of this comical T shape and have her grow more vertical and bushy.

Any tips?

Can I cut here?

First time cutting this FLF I rescued from my neighbor. (I did previously notch but no growth) I plan to cut here because I want the two leaves below it I would like to be the new top of plant. I will use the top of the cutting to make a new plant! I am only worried about cutting stem where it’s still almost partially green.

How should I care for this little guy?

My brother got us this in December, since then we’ve had the top two leaves grow. How can I make sure he’s growing healthy ?
In Melbourne Australia climate btw

Rehabbing Advice

I got this flf from a restaurant with conditions that were not ideal. Replanted it and propped it up with bamboo as it was very droopy. Any advice on how to bring her back to life?

Encouraging new growth on mature, branchy tree

I have a plant that had some trauma do to lack of watering and lost a lot on the lower half, but still has a great (and growing) canopy. The tree is already branchy up to, but I want it to get fuller down low. I've watched a lot about pruning, which I need to do up top but doubt it'll drive the energy down lower. I was going to try notching, but can't figure out which branch / main trunk to do that on. If it were your tree, what would you do? Note that there is a large skylight right above this tree.

And please ignore life's messiness on the step next to the tree :).

Any idea what’s happening? Also, she seems to be stuck — there hasn’t been any new growth.

Any and all recommendations for this beauty.

Hi FLF family. Newbie here, just got back from the market with this beautiful lady and I’ve been in a FLF rabbit hole for the past three hours. I’m excited to finally have one but I’m so scared that I’ll mess up and kill her. I’d appreciate any and all advice and recommendations.

Ive read that this is the time of year to feed nutrients and do some pruning/repotting, is that correct? If so what should I use for fertilizer and soil?

How should I water her? I’m used to just leaving my plants in a large bowl to soak for 15-20 mins, can I still do that with this?

Also out of the two pictures, which do you think will be a better place for it? Both windows are south facing. In my opinion, behind the couch looks better but I’m worried the cramped space would damage the plant.

Seymour is dropping leaves!

This is Seymour! He's a 5 year old fiddle leaf who lives in Chicago with some lovely South facing sunshine. Each spring/fall he usually drops a few leaves, my guess is the temperature shift and heating/AC keeps him a bit wetter or dryer than usual. The past 2 weeks he has dropped like 5-6 leaves?! I am panicking and let his root ball completely dry out. I usually fertilize every 4-6 ish weeks, but generally he is a very happy boy and has been for years, he is also getting very tall. Some of the leaves he lost are at the bottom but some aren't. The new growth on top looks very good and happy. You can see the last picture of the leaves that are falling off (ignore my rabbits nibbles on it). He is pretty dry at this point, should I resume watering or let him dry out a bit more? I was thinking of repotting as well ( I just repotted him in the fall). Yes, I also know he is a little sun burnt and I usually have the shades down a little. HELP!?!

Help us help Phil

This is our fiddle leaf fig, Phil. He’s been through a lot! But at the moment, after years of remarkable growth and recovery, he’s started leaning somewhat dramatically to one side (two new branches are facing the corner in the picture). We just recently tried turning him away from the window to encourage him to grow the other way, but we’re not sure if this will do more harm than good, or what else might be better. Any advice?

Wish me luck

She was getting too big for where she was so I had to move her. She's been in the same spot since I got her a year ago and I'm a little afraid. Any suggestions on what I should look out for? She's my first fiddle leaf and she's never been moved.
