CPU randomly overheating? Pre built- please help :(
I have images attached to show exactly what im looking at.
So this PC CPU that usually runs ice cold decided to start overheating right from the jump.
8 months from new, no issues beforehand.
Liquid cooled CPU, usually sits at 40C, now spikes to 110C within 5 minutes of startup with no apps and shuts down on me while trying to fix the issue.
Using Gigabyte control Centre
3 main fan systems are designated as
CPU
System 1
System 2
From what i know, only CPU and System 2 used to register the rpms. The issue is now, system 2 is now not registering RPM and the CPU is overheating. Ive tried to go into the manual settings on the system 2 cooling system but it appears to not do anything.
I checked the CPU cooler fan connection that says sys_fan2 and theres only 3 out of 4 pins attached (lower pin is no attached). I cant necessarily tell whats going here or if the pump is going or not but the fans on the cpu radiator are going full blast which makes no sense if its reading 0rpm. I cant access my bios for some reason either which is frustrating to say the least :(
Could anyone please help me diagnose this? If you need any more information i will try my best to see what i can get
