The past week my cat has been blocked twice both times resulting in a trip to the emergency vet, the main cause was struvite crystals. My vets put him on hills science diet for urinary care after the first emergency vet trip. I guess my question is what supplements could I give home to help? He will be getting 2 cans of the hills a day plus a cup of dry food throughout the day and cat water mixed in with every meal but what else can I do for him to make sure this won’t happen again? I’m so crazy stressed about bringing him home today as I can’t spend another $2000 on an emergency vet trip plus a $7000 surgery. Any questions or advice is extremely appreciated.
