Still haven’t bothered replacing my curtains

Before I got the n3 ultimate, I was pretty sure I’d end up buying blackout curtains. I kept seeing people talk about blackout curtains and dark walls whenever I looked up projector setups. Two months later and I’m still using the same thin curtains in the living room. They still let some light through when they’re closed, but it really hasn’t bothered me much. Maybe the screen is helping too.

Most of my movie watching is at night anyway, and I’ll sometimes turn the brightness down a bit. I still use the projector during the day sometimes and it’s been fine. Direct sunlight is obviously a different story, but outside of that I haven’t really had an issue. So far I haven’t seen much reason to replace them.

A decent range hood really does matter

My new range hood (black p1) just got here and I’ve been using it enough to say this: I should’ve stopped buying cheap ~$200 hoods a long time ago. My old one was loud, barely cleared smells, and after cleaning the filters it never felt effective. The p1 feels totally different. It's quieter and even with under 400 CFM it doesn't feel weak at all. I use a wok often and it actually handles smoke really well, i don't noticed it leaking out like before. No more greasy mesh filters wither, this is my favorite part. I alos like the PM2.5 display, if it goes red I just turn it up. I probably overthought this whole purchase, but after using both, I get it now. Kitchen ventilation is not where we'd try to save a couple hundred bucks again. A good hood doesn't just move air around, also keeps the kitchen from feeling smoky, greasy, and stale after every meal.
