SC Project GP70-R 3/4 system Air Injection System removed & block off plates installed o2 sensor cables removed ECU tune/flash for remapping and to match exhaust

I know if someone did all of this but didn’t remove the AIS then the backfire would be constant on deceleration sounding like a gunshot or explosion. On mine around 8,000 RPM down to 4,000 RPM on deceleration there’s always one backfire, but it isn’t insanely loud.

I would assume that is normal. The stock cat and muffler will muffle that sound a lot vs deleting the cat and installing an aftermarket exhaust.

Anyone else have a 2020+ R1 and have similar mods done? Just curious on your opinions and thoughts in regard to potential engine damage.

I’m really wanting to get the SC C-RT half system for this thing in carbon fiber, but they all show a back order for 4-5 weeks build time. That’s before shipping time even comes into play. Plain titanium finish is in stock, but I feel like with the carbon winglets I just gotta have some carbon on the exhaust to match. Plus I’ve always loved SC.
