Genuine question for you all: What was the point of the Chiron Pur Sport?
Although this model remains as my favorite Chiron that Bugatti has built, due to how aggressive and focused it looks, I also can’t help but wonder why it was made? With only 60 examples produced, do they ever see any private track days, or are least driven spiritedly by their owners? Bugatti themselves never attempted any lap times with it, despite them having constantly talked about how much different the camber is, and its improved aero and cooling.
It’s a beautiful car, with a ton of performance potential, but I just find it interesting that Bugatti never really… Did anything with it. Maybe because the Pur Sport still weighs 2 tons? How do you all feel about it? Love the car? Hate it? Or are you entirely apathetic towards it?
Look at the sheer width of this lady!
5th gens are girthy as hell lol, to an almost hilarious (in the best way) degree. The fact that all of them came with a subtle-not-subtle wide body look from factory is just cool.
Godzilla Final Wars Atomic Breath vers. is fantastic!
So as someone who also owns the original figure, and genuinely LOVES that version (I got a very good copy). I was rather sterile on the Atomic Breath variant at first. But, I eventually decided to throw down money on it, and I’m so glad that I did.
This entire set is the first of its kind in many ways, as there has never been a hyper articulated FW Godzilla figure that came with a Hyper Spiral Ray accessory, red/orange dorsal fins, and a full sized Gotengo figure. It’s truly an awesome package, and Godzilla himself is just incredible.
Again, I own the original FW Godzilla figure from SHMA, and it is a product that I absolutely adore. I don’t have terrible joint tolerance with mine. With that being said, the Atomic Breath version is the new number 1 version in the line. The joint tolerance is utterly fantastic, with only a segment of the figure’s tail popping off due to me pushing it to its limit. The head and neck refuse to come off, as does everything else, and the entire figure feels nice and tight, even the lower jaw.
The paint is lovely. I was never a fan of the reissue’s blue wash, though I understand what Tamashii Nations was going for. This new figure returning back to the charcoal black of the original is welcome for me. The eyes are beautifully done and quite ferocious, and I even like the orange coloration inside the mouth, mine having been painted very well. The obvious standout, however, are those dorsal fins. The translucency isn’t as crazy as something like Shin Godzilla MGP, or even Godzilla Evolved’s fins, but it’s still there and they shine beautifully with enough light hitting them.
The Atomic Breath piece is also quite nice, and I love that it’s a brand new sculpt! And, the Gotengo is just gorgeous. This is now the best Gotengo figure ever made, and it’s full sized, being as tall or taller than Godzilla himself.
This is an awesome release, folks. If you have the means, or are a fan of Final Wars, I’d absolutely recommend picking it up! It’s truly a special and quite unique release.
Enjoy Heavy Arms Kiryu, new owners!
For those who’ve already preordered theirs, you’re going to absolutely adore it. The Kiryus are, without question, some of the best S.H. MonsterArts figures ever made, and dare I say two of the greatest Godzilla figures ever created.
I look forward to seeing all of the pictures and first impressions next year!
The Ally Z1E keeps on winning.
As prices for everything, including video game hardware, continue to skyrocket, the Ally Z1E can be found for $400 or less now, more often than not. The amount of capability and utility that you get for that price is staggering. It’s crazy that ASUS of all companies has the best value proposition in the gaming industry now lol.
Lukewarm take maybe: Turbo mode is most definitely needed at times.
This is purely on a game-by-game basis, but I personally do not subscribe to the notion that Turbo mode is completely meaningless. I was replaying through a few chapters of Ninja Gaiden 2 Black yesterday, and decided to experiment with the different modes to see how the game would behave. Silent mode obviously was a bust, but even Performance mode saw my Ally Z1E struggling to maintain a stable and playable frame rate. Once I switched back to Turbo mode (plugged in of course), performance returned to being both stable and perfectly playable.
And forgive me, as this is very likely a, “water is wet” conclusion, but I certainly feel like the more graphically demanding the game is, the more useful Turbo mode becomes. This is especially true for heavy UE5 games, like Ninja Gaiden 2 Black. I do need to play some more with Manual mode to have more control over fan curves and the like, but Turbo mode has served me well many more times than I have felt it as unnecessary.
The original Final Wars Godzilla figure is clean as hell.
I very likely got a damn good copy, but I’ve had absolutely no issues with this figure since it originally released 4 years ago (damn). Joint tolerance has been very solid, and has stood the test of time impressively well, even after having shot photos of the figure briefly in the summer sun. The paint is my favorite off all three variants thus far as well; the matte charcoal black is lovely. The dirty orange eyes are also great, and I love how they get shrouded in shadow depending on how you approach the figure.
While I’m definitely excited for the Red Spiral Ray version to arrive, I’m still very much a big fan of the original release!
This is, full stop, the best value in gaming that we currently have.
What other device on the market can competently and comfortably run a UE5 game on the couch one moment, and then be docked and connected to a larger display the next, and also be able to do professional work, because it’s a full fledged PC… And all for around $400 now?
The Z1E is a fucking monster, and nothing else even comes close to touching it for the price.
Important question for everyone here.
Do you allow for Ryu to flick the Dragon Sword/other weapons clean after a fight? Or, do you carry a dirty weapon around until the end of the chapter like a monster?
Sometimes, playing with anger gets positive results lol.
Long work day + Master Ninja run = Fury.
The Ally Z1E is the value king of the decade.
It is astonishing that you can get your hands on a full blown Windows 11 PC that can and will run professional applications, power a secondary monitor, run a fair amount of current gen, graphically intensive games, emulate whatever you want to emulate, yet can be used on the couch, in bed, on the plane etc., all for around $300 or so now. The potential of the Ally is absolutely enormous, even still in 2026. Even a year and half of ownership, this thing blows my mind with how good it is when everything clicks and is firing on all cylinders. Like, having a slew of games from the PS2 era, to the PS3/360, Xbox One/PS4, and current gen… All on a handheld PC? The future is here, now, folks.
With how tumultuous hardware prices are due to the RAM crisis and AI boom, there’s nothing else out there that comes close to the level of performance, and overall hardware and software experience you get from the Ally, and at the price you can find one at now. PC quirks aside, it genuinely feels like you’re getting a race car for the price of a used Corolla.
What a monster. I adore my Z1E!
MGP Awakening Shin Godzilla is pretty sweet!
The way this figure just absolutely explodes in color when the tiniest amount of light hits it is something to behold. Joint tolerance has been nothing short of exceptional, and the paint on my copy is really really solid. The only niggle in that regard that I can give, are down to the front most teeth having too much paint globbed on, to the point where it looks like Godzilla has bunny teeth when looking at it straight on. A minor issue for what is an overall stunning looking figure.
Interestingly enough: due to I’m assuming the nature of MGP Awakening being made entirely out of translucent plastic, it feels a bit lighter than my G-Store color Shin Godzilla. Not by much that MGP feels “cheap”, but an interesting little note nonetheless. Awakening still feels lovely to handle, and the tail alone adds a fair amount of heft to the overall figure. A lack of effect part accessories aside (the MGP line having a different direction and all that), Awakening Shin is just fantastic, and it’s so nice to have that version of the character on my shelf, without needing to have paid $500 or so for the honor.
G-Store is still, to me, the best Shin Godzilla figure ever created, but MGP Awakening is a glorious entry. The purple is gorgeous, and once again, under even a sliver of light, the entire thing just comes to life in a way that needs to be seen in person to fully appreciate.
Well done, Bandai!
