Hi i recently started Jetman, i'm really liking It so far, my question is. Is Gai called like this because he basically wears an armor? Like at first he seems like a jerk but he actually proves multiple times to be a good guy (some examples are him rescuing Ryuu despite no benefits, him actually being scared to die despite his words of not carrying in episode 18, or when he loses his cool when he gets rejected by Kaori) like he has some kind of tough/cool guy armor that hides his good/sentitive side. I'm really liking him in the show so i'm asking to make sure that i'm reading him well

Hi sorry for the dumb question, but what is the point of the mecha fights? They look cool honestly, but most of the times i feel like they are there to make the episode 20 minutes. I watched ToQger, Donbrothers (half of Gozyugers before the Maya thing) and currently i'm watching Jetman, all shows that i actually like and they make me want to watch more sentai shows, but i geniuenly only see the mech as

"The good guys beats evil guy

Good

Evil grows big because yes and be has to be defeated again

The mecha crashes into every possible building and nobody acknowledges the possible deatha

Mecha defeats evil guy again

Day saved and everyone happy"

Like maybe it's me that i don't get it, but the point is it really just to sell toys even if the fights feel forced and add nothing much to the story?
