Donbrothers has been picked as the Overrated Sentai, but what would you say is your Favorite Worldbuilding in the Super Sentai series
When everyone showed support
Yesterday (20th May), Haruhi Iuchi, Miu Suzuki, Satoru Soma and Yu Miyazawa went to see Yuki Hayama's performance in ナミヤ雑貨店の奇蹟 (I don't know what role he played). Even Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger had long ended, they showed their support to each other. That's something I love to watch...
Do you think the 1st gen Gozyugers could hold a entier series on their own?
So this is basically a what if hoeru team was the 2005 team and Mashiro team was the 2025 team with Hoeru as the sixth
There is just something about monsters who are friends with a ranger.
Bouquet The Loving is the 3rd Gen Gozyu Leon! Given we kinda already have a 3rd Gen Gozyu Tyranno i figured we skip to the 3rd Gen Gozyu Eagle:
3rd Gen Gozyu Wolf - Firecandle
3rd Gen Gozyu Leon - Bouquet
3rd Gen Gozyu Tyranno - Assam
Is Mary Sue/Gary Sue type of tokusatsu hero/heroine is more acceptable in Japan compared to West (USA)?
In the west (particularly USA), Mary Sue/Gary Stu type of character has gotten divisive reception, whether movies, TV shows, video games, comics, etc.
Is Mary Sue/Gary Stu type character works better with Japanese audience?
The popular tokusatsu series (Kamen Rider Kabuto, Kamen Rider Decade, Kyoryuger, DonBrothers, etc.) tends to have those character traits. I hardly hear anyone from Japan complained about Mary Sue/Gary Stu.
Any thoughts?
I went to an iconic filming location today! The Oya Stone Museum!
The place is crazy! If you’re passing through Utsunomiya during a trip to Japan, you have to get there. It’s a 30 minutes bus ride (if you don’t get off at the wrong stop like an idiot) from Utsunomiya station. Ticket is 1000 yen, cash only. Bring a jacket, it’s literally a fridge down there.
Ngl I start to appreciate more sanseaters and Hashiriyan in boonboomger when I think Gavan infinity villains in general are lacking.
Both boonboomger and Gavan infinity make by same team from head producer and writing team
Sure mikage/D Gavan is recurring villain and he so far interesting and cool
But the thing about is he don't always appear in many episodes he just mysterious vogue characters that working in the shadows
The sanseaters from Hashiriyan also recurring antagonist from beginning to final episode. And despite them being baka trio villain they are fun and charming. Plus they develop as character trying to reach a top and loyalty to first villain
That's you know you have good villain no need to make them super evil or complex villains. You can make them a clown like team rocket but make a clown that you want to see them again , liking their development and root for them
Meanwhile Gavan infinity:
One off villain of the week who sometimes is good. sometimes is forgottable
I understand police series most have weekly criminals but c"mon cannot make stand out as weekly villain most of the time
Best of the Super Juniors
Valienté as Shinken Red from today's BOSJ tournament match
What sea creature is Juzo's monster form based off of?
Unlike the other Gedoshu, it's not really made clear on what his sea animal motif is supposed to be.
Wiseru is dumb af🤣
Now it beg question how the heck he see through that?
Which Sixth Ranger from the Reiwa era has the best civilian outfit?
My pick is Zox.
