Just sharing our newest foster, Zoey!

Just picked up this baby girl yesterday! Think she’s a husky mix (~50 lb)!

We’re dealing with a little bit of resource guarding from my resident dog against her but working through it. She is such a sweetie!! Had to be owner surrendered due to housing instability (owner had a really hard time parting with her at the shelter) 😭

Meet our foster puppy, Paola🐶

Hi all! Just wanted to share Paola, a 10 month old chihuahua puppy who was owner surrendered to a rescue in Pasadena (Pup Culture). She weighs about 11 pounds and loves being carried and sitting in your lap. She does great with dogs (both big and small) and kids! Since she is still a puppy she can have lots of energy but plays well with toys independently and hasn’t been destructive. She is fully potty trained, up to date on shots, and has been spayed.

If you know anyone interested in adding a puppy to their family please let me know!

Resident dog HATES our previous foster?

We fostered a 5 month old husky puppy about a year ago and she was adopted to an amazing family 💕 We ended up watching her again for a weekend recently and our resident dog now HATES her. Full on tries to lunge, growl, and bite at her (she has put her head in her mouth but hasn’t bit down hard). Our previous foster still loves our resident dog so also will not leave her alone even though she’s acting this way.

When we were fostering her last year, my resident dog basically acted as her mom. Showed her how to play and how to walk outside (our foster really was attached to her). I’m not sure if this is residual “mom” behavior (over correcting) but worried we won’t be able to watch her ever again due to this. Our resident dog has literally never displayed this behavior to any other dog. Any idea what is causing this huge change in behavior?
