Lenovo ideapad gaming 3 HZ
Hi i have some issues with thjs laptop for a couple of years main one being Hz
i have the 1650 and ryzen 7 5800h version 60hz display
it doesnt have a mux switch the display is routed through the igpu
i managed to oc the laptop’s native display from 60hz to 90hz(now it only works at 88hz for some reason) then i got a monitor i expected a high refresh rate to work atleast on 120hz but it black screens over anything higher than 90hz even 91hz
after consulting with chatgpt because there are literally no forums regarding this issue the main issue here is suggested to be the actual hdmi cable idk what the specs on it are i can just assume its old
i dont want to spend money on a new cable even if its cheap
does anyone have any idea if a good cable could actually make it work with higher hz
