It's 2026 and I'm JUST now reading The Defectives(Can Ci Pin )by Priest and I'm completely blown away,this was really written 8years ago?

It barely gets talked about and honestly I think it's seriously underrated.

Priest is such a visionary,especially with how fast AI has been developing these past years—if AI ever becomes fully dominant, humanity could actually be in real danger. Everything Can Ci Pin describes might not even be fiction for much longer.

Also love Gong and shou dynamic!There’s nothing like a couple that went through hell and back together.

Can Ci Ping really made me think a lot.If anyone has other good sci-fi recs pls lmk!!!

I’m so weak for gongs who are like insanely protective and jealous,like very sweet to his shou but can be very cruel to others.

I’m looking for danmei where the gong and shou are from different countries!Just finished the drama Red,White and Royal Blue !It’s not related to any novel,but I love this kind of set up!I think the the culture clash would be make for such interesting dynamics!But this dynamic seems pretty rare!Anyone got recs like this?
