BG3 Honor Mode Runs:
Run 1: I broke rule #1 of HM and tried something new. >!Kagha killed Arabella after I failed the persuasion check 3 times (with insp) so I sought revenge by trying to out her as a Shadow Druid. I got massacred by the Mesphits in the Swamp.!<
Run 2: Intellect Devourers on Beach killed me from afar. Shadowheart always says stay far away from them. False, I learned that if you bum rush them as a fighter (Me), they are much easier to kill. They 1 shot me with their “lazer-blast”
Run 3: Commander Zhalk (Tried to get his flaming sword). I am a sucker for any flaming sword in any game (See Dyrnwyn in Valehim).
Run 4: Grym (Didn’t prep Shadowheart’s Spells and had bad ones equipped). He wiped the floor with us
Run 5: Booby trap in basement of Creche. I forgot that time still moves when you are trap disarming. I don't know who, but one of my companions triggered the trap. Boom, all dead.
Run 6: Success!
Closes calls:
Duergar in Underdark nearly TPK. Never had any issues here, not sure why this one was different.
Self same trial in Shar’s Gauntlet. I had Wyll at 23 AC. I STRUGGLED to hit his clone.
Near TPK from Merrigons after Yurgir. Yurgir was easy-ish, his merregons not so much.
Gortash. I did not know how different his fight in honor mode was. I had 2 downed members and 2 on a combined 7 HP. I threw a grenade and my game crashed. Luckily I had opened my game and was back at the beginning. The 2nd time was much easier.
