Imco g11 - Suggestion Needed

I've recently got really interested in Imco lighters.

Since I prefer buthane lighters to gasoline, I looked online for something similar to the classic Triplex/6700 style and found the Imco g11.

Only after purchasing it on eBay I've discovered that there are refillable and disposable models, and mine is one of the disposable ones...

So now I have three options and I want to ask you which one you think is the best thing to do:

  1. Buying the refillable model: I haven't found any listings selling just the fuel canister, so I'd have to buy another one for €20-30 and hope it works properly (I asked several sellers if the lighters worked / had leaks, but no response)

  2. Check if later Imco models that use a similar container might be compatible: unfortunately, I have no experience with this, so I can only rely on someone here that might know a little more than me.

From what I've seen trought pics and videos, later models likely have a different ignition mechanism, so they have a slightly modified release valve that may not be compatible with the g11

  1. Modifying the canister I already have: I've seen videos on YouTube of people who've drilled a hole in the bottom, inserted an airsoft valve, and sealed the whole thing with resin. However, I'm a bit hesitant about that, cause I'm afraid I'll ruin the lighter, or that it will explode in my hands

Another flea market find.

I've found other lighters of this brand online (not the same model tho) but unfortunately no indications about which adapter should use to fill.

I've tried refilling it (also tried thin adapters coming with the gas can), but the gas just leaks out of the nozzle.

I hope images are clear enough (its basically a hole, no needle or anything like modern lighters' valve)
