Hi, could anyone help identify what’s leaving this detritus please?

I’m in the UK and keep finding piles of this stuff coming from between the skirting boards and wood flooring. This is in a timber-framed garden building.

It doesn’t look like wood shavings from termites, it looks more like a mix of insect carcasses and possibly egg casings.

If anyone does know what it is, any ideas on how to stop it would be gratefully received.
