I really hate to be that guy but can someone see if they can help diagnose this rattle/ticking noise? I bought the car for cheap at ~110k miles but there was no issues with the engine mentioned, oil was about a litre low when i got it but filled it up quick.

After a few hundred miles a rattling sound started after a bit of ‘spirited’ driving to try it out and it’s stayed since.

The sound happens at idle when warm and at high revs it comes back and follows rpm but not audible at low rpm which i found odd.

I replaced the timing chain tensioner since i heard that was a common problem but noise is unchanged. (now has a bit of a rough idle but i think that’s unrelated vacuum leak issue)

After replacing my timing tensioner i’ve found this connection which i can’t remember if it was even attached to anything can someone look at their own car and compare? thanks guys it’s a 2007 2.0
