Which one would be fastest to get into ? Local 66 or local 304? Was just wondering which one fastest and Which one has the better apprenticeship also ?

I have the opportunity to join a non union Apprenticeship with a pretty good contractor soon(a lot of people say good things about this company). Should I get in this apprenticeship top out and then test into the union or should I just wait on a union Apprenticeship. I'm a 24 year old male, turn 25 in November. Just wanting to get in an apprenticeship to become a journeyman as quick as I can while learning the right stuff

Im ranked 15 in local 245 lineman apprenticeship. Is that a good rank or what ? Office lady told me anywhere from 1 -20 is a good rank .

Got my ranking for local 245 ALBAT Apprenticeship. I ranked 15 and made a scored of 87.2. The office lady told me if i am anywhere between 1-20 then that's a good rank. How long do you think it will take for me to get in the apprenticeship with that rank ? Local 245 is out of Toledo, Ohio by the way.

I interviewed for local 245 on Tuesday. I was the only black guy to even interview lmaooo. The interview went great ,had the committee laughing a bunch but we also had some serious moments too. I shook everybody's hand at the beginning of the interview and also at the end of the interview thanking them for the interview. When I shook the Kent Power contractors hand , he shook my hand hard as crap and looked me in my eye and said "keep being motivated and hungry".

I am just wondering when would I get my rank and I'm wondering from experience does anyone think I would rank decently high after having such a good interview like that?

Hey man ,I'm 24 years old, I've worked my ass off to try to get my foot in door of the trade , paid for my own CDL and everything . I just got my CDL 2 weeks ago and Ive been in the trade for about 6 months so far. I am currently working as an inside wireman CW on a big data center job. Ive already applied for SWLcat Apprenticeship and ALBAT Apprenticeship for lineman. I won't say I'm scared but man seeing all of these deaths and injuries is making me nervous about becoming a lineman. Im not a bitch lol but I don't think my life is worth no money at all. I've already withdrew my Substation and inside wireman application because I am stuck on becoming a lineman but I'm kinda at a crossroads now because all these deaths and injuries have been scaring , especially in Texas, where I will most likely do my apprenticeship at. Any advice or should I just do something different?

Man I see that local 245 will be having applications soon and I was just wondering are they moving slow hiring apprentices or since they put applications out that means that they are trying to hire Apprentices? Also I hear that being a traveler is a big minus in Albat too because alot if guys get their ticket and transfer, I just was wondering would it even be worth doing the application or will I be wasting my time ?
