Used vs New? Almost same price!

Hi!

I'm wondering which is a better choice? Buying new vs buying lightly used CPO. My brother is saying Buying new is better since im only a couple thousands off.

A new 2026, identical car is 40k before taxes.

What do you think? I like how the deal in this pic sounds. Only fees after that price would be taxes and docs. I was also able to bring down the price to 32.4

After Much Research, I Decided on this CRV

Guys, I am TIRED of this car search. After much looking around, I decided on this 2023 CRV Sport. Talk me into or out of it. Is it a good car if I wanted something to last 5+ years? I heard it's smooth, amazing fuel economy, good build, and overall pretty well rounded.

Cost: $29000

Mileage: 33k

1 owner, no accident, clean carfax

Should I go for it? Is there room to negotiate down?

Need SUV recommendations before I make a dumb purchase

Hey everyone,

I need SUV recommendations. Im losing my mind in this used car market. I need something reliable but dont know how to weed out used cars that may have hidden issues. I have zero experience with cars and thats why im asking questions that may seem dumb to you seasoned car redditors. For this reason, please have patience with me and guide me to the right questions to even ask.

So far, i know I want these things:

Compact or bigger SUVs. No crossovers.

Reliable. Reliable. Reliable.

Hybrid would be nice

Sunroof/pano would be nice

Not bumpy. I hate these NYC potholes.

Under 30k miles. 12k-15k Mileage per year.

Well maintained.

25k OTD price max.

Is this realistic? If so, why the hexk am I not finding cars that fit this criteria? Is this too much to ask for? Or do I need to pay close to the price of a new car for a decent used car??

The one in the pic is the best price for what im looking for. 1 owner. Clean carfax, but it has 72k miles :(( and not even the otd price
