I’m a new airman I got to my first duty station a couple weeks ago my afsc is 3PO31 but I was able to go home for like 10 days before coming here but I was already gone for 6 months prior to that which I know isnt anything but the fourth was yesterday and it’s usually my favorite holiday I really didn’t do anything. I think the part that sucks is idk when I’m gonna be able to go home again and it just feels very lonely here rn basically being brand new none of my friends from tech got this base. What advice do you guys have to keep the motivation and deal with being away from home

I go to ftx on Wednesday to finish out tech school any advice on how to pack my ruck and fit everything I need it’s also supposed to rain every day l.also any advice on staying awake on shift I’ve heard that’s the most common way people get washed out there

I grad from tech school in 2 weeks then I’m gonna do rap but that’s besides the point what advice can anyone give me when I first get to my base how do I make a good impression fresh out of tech school
