New Achievement Unlocked!

New Achievement Unlocked!

In my XX years of existence, I have NEVER ONCE finished a book in my entire life!!!

And idk what to feel.

(And yes, ako rin yung guy na nagtanong kung okay lang bang mabagal magbasa… and yes, KAKATAPOS KO LANG BASAHIN SIYA. )

Anddddd guess what?
After 300+ pages, somehow I ended up buying 5 new books.

This includes:
Project Hail Mary
The Farseer Trilogy — bought it from a friend
Red Rising — madali lang daw kasi basahin

And because I am apparently now an impulsive adult reader (yes, adult na ako ), I’m ALSO checking out e-readers!!!

This post is mostly just me sharing how happy I am to finally unlock the “Finished My First Book” achievement.

But I also wanted to ask:
Based on the books I have now, what should I read next?
Should I try Project Hail Mary, start Red Rising, dive into The Farseer Trilogy?

OR should I just buy Book 2 of Dungeon Crawler Carl and continue the madness?

Oh! I also have Stephen King’s 11/22/63 sitting here somewhere.

So… what’s next?

Also, RIP to the version of me who thought finishing one book would somehow make my backlog smaller.

Dunwich so far....

Hi guys! Just wanted to give a little update on my first-ever campaign!

So far, so good… somehow. 😂

The difficulty has been all over the place in the best way possible. Sometimes I’m literally on the brink of death, staring at the board thinking, “Well… this is probably it.” Then another scenario ends and I’m sitting there like, “Wait… that was it? That felt way too fast and easy.”

My heart has definitely failed more skill tests than my investigators have. 😂

I just finished Undimensioned and Unseen, and DAMN that one was difficult for me. Maybe it’s just because I’m still a beginner, but there were definitely moments where I had no idea how I was going to get through it.

But we survived!
I now have two scenarios left before my first campaign comes to an end, and I’m honestly a little sad that I’m getting close to the finale.

I’ve also been really enjoying the Survivor + Mystic duo. Survivor has probably become my favorite class so far, while Mystic has been really satisfying once everything gets set up properly.

Two scenarios to go. No spoilers please I have absolutely no idea what’s waiting for me, and I want to keep it that way. 😂

Wish Pete and Jim luck. I have a feeling they’re going to need it.

Is this just FOMO or this is necessary?

It’s been about 3 months since I started playing Arkham Horror LCG.

So far, I’ve finished the 2026 Core Box/Chapter 2 content, bought Children of the Blood, and picked up two complete campaigns from Chapter 1.

The problem is… I’ve actually paused my campaigns recently because of other life priorities, so I’m not even getting through the content I already own.

Now an opportunity came up for me to buy two more complete Chapter 1 campaigns: The Dunwich Legacy and Edge of the Earth.

Part of me is thinking, “This is a good opportunity to build up my collection while I can.” But the other part of me knows this might just be FOMO/impulse buying disguised as “getting good value.”

Especially since:
I already have multiple campaigns I haven’t finished.
I’ve temporarily paused playing because of real-life priorities.
I also have TTS, so technically I can play almost anything without owning it physically.

I’m still pretty new to the game and I love Arkham, but I’m starting to wonder if I’m falling into the trap of collecting faster than I’m actually playing.

So tell me straight: Would buying Dunwich + Edge of the Earth right now be a dumb impulse purchase?

Should I just stop buying Arkham for a while, play through what I already own, and only buy another campaign once I’ve actually finished some of my backlog?

I genuinely want the wake-up-call answers too. Don’t enable me just because it’s Arkham. 😂

I think i might have made a wrong decision.

I found a really good deal on a bundle that includes The Path to Carcosa and The Forgotten Age, and both are complete with their full cycles.

However, I think I might need the old Core Set, since I currently only have the Chapter 2 Core Set.
Do I actually need to buy the old Core Set to play these campaigns?

Or can I use the encounter cards from my Chapter 2 Core Set instead?

Just want to make sure before I spend more money. 😅

UPDATE: Chapter 2 Cards Only Game Night Help a New Player Not Look Too Noob 😂

OUR TABLE/POD FINISHED FIRST!!!! 🎉
The standalone scenario we played was The Midwinter Gala, and our pod had four investigators: Daniela, Dexter, Trish, and Joe (me!).

During the first few rounds, my co-investigators were REALLY at it! Trish was super nimble, moving from one place to another while getting clues. Dexter was doing the same thing, while Daniela did what Daniela does best punching and shooting enemies down. 😂

However, during the second half of the game, after the first agenda advanced, things got CRAZY.

Dexter and Daniela ended up locked in one room with two major enemies, and we were unlucky enough to keep drawing even more enemies from the encounter deck for around 4–6 rounds.

Luckily, Trish was SOOOOO good at evading, and I somehow managed to get Vicious Blow and Overkill at exactly the right time.

Resources were also surprisingly forgiving to us!!
AND THE CHAOS TOKENS ACTUALLY BEHAVED!!! 😂
The game was so thrilling, and I really enjoyed both the story and the scenario itself.

Then, during the last three rounds, to my surprise, I was actually successful at getting a bunch of clues and became really helpful to the team!

We finished with almost every point covered. We still followed along with the other table, but honestly, I’m just really happy to see that all the overthinking and practicing actually paid off.

Unfortunately, I didn’t win the raffle for the Gen Con-exclusive enemy cards 😭, but we were able to get posters, so I’m still really happy!

Overall, such an AMAZING Arkham experience. 🖤
Our pod finished first, we survived The Midwinter Gala, and Joe Diamond did his job! 🔎🔥

Chapter 2 Cards Only Game Night Help a New Player Not Look Too Noob 😂

Hello everyone.

Our local game store is hosting a game night, and the theme/rule for the event is Chapter 2 cards only.

Which is actually great for me because I’m pretty new to the game!

Right now I have the Core Box and 4 Evergreen investigators (Marie hasn’t arrived yet).

In terms of investigator choice and deckbuilding, does anyone have any tips or recommendations for what I should bring?

I mostly play Joe because I find him really good at gathering clues, and once I get Dr. Armitage going, I feel unstoppable. 😂 But I’m definitely open to trying another investigator.

I’m not necessarily trying to bring the most broken deck possible I’d just like to show up somewhat prepared and not look too much like the new guy.

Any investigator recommendations, deck ideas, or general Chapter 2 deckbuilding tips would be really appreciated!

Who do you think is the best/promising investigator from chapter 2?

Im curious what would be the choice of the community here aa to whom is the "best" or "efficient" in the current chapter 2 arkham series?

Also would like to get answers where the upgrades for cards are also just in the chapter 2 set.

I finally tried to play with friends

I was shocked that the game became MOREEEE DIFFICULT!!
For context, a LGS put up "ant man hero pack" for sale and I decided to purchase him and ended being asked to play for a couple of games since they want to try purple man of fear no evil.

After 3 attemps. We failed.... I think its because of me, I cant fully utilize Ant Man's leadership cards.

Now I am getting more invested on making a good deck to us so next time I wont be a burden to my allies. Not a bad feeling but more of a different POV of the game which makes it moree good!

Is there any discord group here where I can play with people? Idk how it will work but It would be nice if there's a discord server for group play/campaign as well.

Hi guys,
Im new to the game and the DECK BUILDING game.
I own the following.

Core set
Black panther shuri
Magneto
Ant man
Fear no evil expansion
Agent of S h i e l d s expansion

I enjoy playing black panther from the core set but i dont think i use the protection cards that is suggested on the set. I mostly use it for energy payment.

Can someone help me out how i can manage to do some deck building on what i have? And do i need more? To get to where i want to each hero??

Should i just forget that there was boxes from before and just focus on the new releases?

I want to enjoy it and not overthink that i am missing out.
