My (unexpected) Agincourt
So M2Ex was the final nail in the coffin and I just had to reinstall M2TW
As old as this game is, it only took some turns to remember why it is one of the best TW games. I play Attila quite a lot, Rome 2 as well, but I can not remember last time a battle felt actually like a battle and not a repetitive simulator.
Anyways, I was laying siege in Dijon and suddenly my King was surrounded by all sides. No retreat, nothing. It was all for nothing.
I found a mill in the edge of the map and barricaded myself, splitting forces left and right. I was attacked by all sides, somehow lines held, got an unexpected breakthrough by charging the cavalry forwards, routed one army, ballista got another general and general rout ensued.
King died next turn inside the city, guy did his job for one last time
