Solar Quote - Good Price?

Negotiated:

x12 Aiko-A475w.

x2 Sunsynk 5.32kWh Baterries.

x1 Sunsynk 5kW Inverter.

Total Cost £7850. Bird netting included. I just wondered how this stacks up against the market and other quotes?

Radiator Change Question

Hi all,

We recently bought a house and in preparation for the approaching winter I would like to replace a couple of radiators. Our house has the “old” gravity fed central heating system set-up, with water tanks in the loft, a water cylinder in a cupboard, all the good stuff.

Question: Too keep things simple, can I turn the heating off, turn the water off to the house, drain the radiator I want to work on, drain as much water out of the system as possible, then do the work and switch the water back on to the house?

I have limited experience on gravity fed central heating (in fact, it’s closer to 0), so any feed back would be appreciated!

Just looking for a solution that; 1. Keeps me out of the loft (don’t fancy tying ball valves whilst fighting spiders and crawling through fibreglass), 2. Use the fewest number of inputs/changes to the system, last thing I want to do is go turning valves and spring a leak because it’s been undisturbed for the last 30 years!
