How to prepare for an internal interview with my own manager?

Hello, manager encouraged me to apply for higher level position within my own team and told me they'll take my interview first. Compared to external interviews, what should I prepare for this when the interview is with my own manager and maybe a director(who was my manager before the current one)?

Skills/thinking for transitioning from quality inspection to engineer position

Hello everyone, I have a chance to work as a quality engineer in coming months. I currently work in inspection but I have been increasingly handling customer nonconformances, coordination between various teams to close those nonconformance, and some continuous improvement projects. I would appreciate if you can help me with what skills and thinking do I need to develop or learn to make this transition. I want to excel in this new opportunity. Thank you!

Interview ended in less than 20 minutes!! Was scheduled for 45 minutes.

So I had an interview scheduled for 45 minutes and it ended in less than 20 minutes. Don't know if it's a bad sign or did they already selected the candidate and mine was just a formality. First HR explained me how it will go. First HR asked me 4 questions then one manager had 3 questions prepared and there was also one director from other team and she only had 1 question prepared for me. Once they were finished, I asked them 5-6 questions to know more about this role and how team operates and day to day challenges etc. This was a second contact after first one 2 weeks ago with HR which lasted around 15 minutes. They told me, they'll get back to me withing 2 weeks whether positive or negative. I don't know what to make of this lol.

Very disappointed by the raise after going "above and beyond"

/Venting/ After taking so much work above my paygrade for many years, I am very disappointed by the mere 2.6%(60 cent) raise. I am already looking for a new job and have interviews with 2 different companies next week. Feel like I should just stop doing all the additional work without pay and just stick to my role. Already underpaid and this raise makes me so angry. Totally done with this company.
