What would make you root more for them?

I was thinking about how some characters in Bridgerton that I would rewrite some points of their story/journey to like them more. For example: Francesca has a very interesting story, specially in the second half of season 4, but I just rooted for her because she lost John and I want a HEA for her, we also saw she more close to her family, etc.

If I'd rewrite her to root for her character before it, I'd make her having a friend she liked(it would be explicit since the beginning), but she wouldn't understand it. It might be Michaela(it would change a little bit the story, but we might know more things about Michaela too) or some other girl. I don't like how she likes girls is some kind of "plot twist" for her character in season 3, specially in that context of her being married and stuttering with Michaela at the first sight. I mean, fall for a friend is a canonical event for basically every homosexual/bisexual person. Jess said she wanted to make a very authentic sapphic experience, so I'd like to see it in season 3, even if she fell for John after that or not. It's just an alternative to avoid this plot twist that we had.

Besides, more interaction with the family members before season 4, specially with Eloise, that's her closer sister in the book series. This point for me is very important because the strong point for Bridgerton is the family itself and the interaction they have, the funny situations, etc. I feel Franny had a plot very centred to her character. I know she's more introvert, but in the books we at least had she and Eloise paying a maid to explain about sex lol. This kind of situation is good to see and it exposes the personality of the characters that make us root for them.

These things are just some examples that I have for 1 character in specific(even though I have some opinions about others too), but we could rewrite it for some characters or even some situations/plots that made us get less invested in them.

I'd like to know who would be the characters you'd rewrite and how you would rewrite them to root for them in the show/in the books.

Am I crazy, biased or that's true?

I just had a thought and I realized that Eloise's story is one of with the most foreshadowings compared to other siblings. Since season 1(as y'all can see the details in this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/PhiloiseHQ/s/yf3tQSZ50z ) until season 4(with the writing being cathartic, noble governesses, etc). Of course that Polin was obvious, for example, but Franchaela, Benophie, and even Kanthony started to have hints about their story only close to the start of their story. It's funny because Eloise's story is being built since the beginning and she will be the last one out of the older siblings to end up together lol.

Eloise reason to runaway will probably not be the same as it is in the book

In a previous post about Eloise in main sub I saw some people worried about Eloise runaway to Philip because of her loneliness. The thing is: the context of the book is different, because Penelope just got married at that point, while Eloise's season will happen 3 seasons after Penelope got married. Besides, Benedict got married 2 seasons before hers too. So I don't think that her pure loneliness will be the key. It will surely impacts, specially because Eloise is not very listened by the others around her(she never was that much btw) and Philip needs to be that support, but it's very likely to the writers to make Eloise wanting a MOC for a bigger reason. Maybe a permission to make a work that only married women can do or something like this. I know the writers are being more lazy about these details of the characters, but it makes sense for Eloise's character and would not get odd to not fit the context of the show, that the closest people of her are already married for a long time.

Odeio auto-dub do Youtube

Why Eloise and Michaela never interected even after spend 1 year together?

I mean, there's no explanation for it yet, but let me theorize the possible reasons:

* Jess didn't want people ship them. I mean, people ship Eloise even with her own brother(yikes😬disgusting) and Cressida, so any friendship people would potentially ship them;

* Limited screentime and the necessary to develop ASAP Franchaela's interections to people ship them considering their season will be the next;

* Something happened in Scotland that made them not to talk to each other. Maybe Michaela can't avoid to flirt with beautiful ladies and she didn't want to do it with a person from Francesca's family, or Eloise and Michaela had an argument or Francesca didn't want Michaela close so she just had some walks with Eloise to avoid her. Idk, what do y'all think that could had happened to Eloise not bond with Michaela? Because it doesn't make sense Eloise feel so bored with a person that's so look alike her;

* Plot hole🤷

I personally think the two first options are very plausible, but they need to explain it somehow to not become a plot hole or look unnatural.

As we know, every sibling had to learn something and mature in a certain aspect to live their love story. Daphne needed to become a woman and stop being innocent, Anthony discovered vulnerability, etc.

What aspect Eloise will need to live her love story? My take is become more responsible, because if her trope really be marriage of convenience, she'll probably overthink about her own advantages in this deal and will have to handle her new responsabilities in her goals and her responsabilities in her marriage, with the kids, etc.

What do you guys think?

As we know, season 5 will tell a queer story. Idk if it will focus only in sapphic romance, but if we had an expansion of the LGBT+ theme, we might have Brimnalds. Shonda said Reynalds is alive, so we might have a comeback of them🤩

I'm reflecting it now because we'll see a kinda "opposite" story between two very different characters in season 5 and 6. Francesca is a person that likes the comfort, the status quo, the order and she'll not live a traditional relationship even with these personality traits she has, she'll choose her feelings instead pragmatism(according to synopsis of season 5). Eloise, otherwise, is a character that's rebel, she's brave and she'll end up in a traditional marriage(until a certain point) probably for convenience(she'll fall in love after that, but she'll not choose him for love exactly, even though they'll bond before it), she'll probably choose to be pragmatic in her choice.

They'll live opposite stories and they have opposite personalities too imo. I think it's a good contrast to the seasons, totally different tropes.

>!- Eloise runaway happens in the end of book 4, before LW revelation;!<

- All the leads until now had the start of their books being hinted or being told in the end of their previous seasons. Maybe just Anthony hadn't it(I quit don't remember), but it was hinted it would be him;

>!- Marina dying will NOT be a hint for GA. For book fans, for sure, but not for the public;!<

- Eloise's season was already confirmed to be season 6, just not the announcement, obviously. Therefore the runaway would hype her season A LOT;

- She MUST MAKE HASTE and it would be fun😊

Serious, I really want to see Franchaela having their HEA and, for me, they should have a lot of screentime in their season such as Benophie, Saphne and QC with KG. I don't like when people say they shouldn't have screentime in their season. I got disappointed with Polin and Kanthony because of the lack of screentime they had in their own season, so it's just fair. Every sibling deserves it and their season will probably have really good elements, but I'm sorry, I'll be unsatisfied if Eloise doesn't have a good set up in their season. It doesn't need to be huge, but meaningful and well written. It will be just unfair if they poorly written this😢and now I'm skeptical because Nicola said she'll not appear. How they'll set up in a sensible way for Marina and reintroduce Philip in widowhood theme(which would make the choice of the swap of seasons looks narratively more wise) without Polin?

I mean, guys, if you like the show and care about the narrative, you'll feel the same. And if you like Eloise, you'll be dead inside as me if we don't have a proper set up

I mean, he was already introduced(which is a completely different case compared to Sophie or Kate, for example) on the show. If we just receive news about Marina's death(which would be unrespectful for me because she was a regular character) and we had a mystery about who Eloise was writing to, wouldn't it be random for GA if Philip was announced as Eloise's romantic partner? If he didn't exist on the show, ok, but he does.

It's one more reason to believe he will be there for at least 2 scenes in different occasions.

I know I'm obsessed with this topic, but I still receive comments about he not being in season 5, even with all the reasons why he should be.

I guess, he cannot be there, but look how wired it would be.

What I imagine: If Eloise runaway in the end of the season(what I want more) we might have the voice of Chris reading the letter Philip proposes her while we see Eloise in a carriage arriving Romney Hall 😍
